(as there is no solid core for 5200, just a Atari 800 emulators and the 5200 is a 2nd thought so most games don't play). Right now, I am working on getting the Atari 5200 working on it. I have setup, 2600, 5200 (work in progress) 7800, Sega Master system, Genesis, NES, SNES, N64 and Wii. With A few 3rd party options, you can run Wii and WiiU games on it. Emulation Station can use any backend but, RetroArch covers a bunch of systems (depending on the COREs installed) but, it can handle NES, SNES, N64, SEGA (both master and genesis), Atari 26. advance 2 weeks as I have been playing with it.

Here is a direct link to the portable one if you want to try it ( ) and the video directions here I've been using the portable one, and that uses batch scripts that is just messy and causes performance issues. I need to have this data on a Media drive, NOT a OS drive.

And I can see this rom collection getting pretty large over time (a lot of classics I used to play). In the app, it always points to %HOMEPATH%, forcing to put emulators and ROMS on the C: drive and I cant seem to change this.Īs I HTPC setup, I use a very minimum C: drive and keep all my data/media on other drives. Very cool but, it's got it's issues and I wonder if anyone has found a work-around.įor testing, I setup the portable version to see if I like it and so far, epic. It plays eveyrthing between the atari 2600 to the Wii with awesome results and a very clean interface. Also programmed in when in emulation of a game, i can hit START AND SELECT to exit and go back to the menu. I got it fully working with a wireless Xbox 360 controller (one dedicated to it), so it works across all consoles fine. So I have been playing with Emulation Station over the last week and I love it so far. It's an early build, so you can expect some bugs, and revisions. As you can see it's got a nice look for a HTPC.(and is fully themeable) This version of EmulationStation was put together by Crash Cortez.

This build is a work in progress, any community help with adding systems to the es_systems.cfg and testing would be greatly appreciated, Windows is not generally a platform Tech Toy Tinker or Retro Arena support, I do not believe many SBC developers do.

Windows 10 is not activated, you must use your own activation key from your home pc, or purchase one from Microsoft, if you wish to activate Windows.įor use of WiiU Pro controllers on Windows you need an application called WiinUSoft Lite, this will pair your WiiU controller and make Windows see it as an Xbox 360 controller. Now you can launch through ES without issues. emulationstation then emulators and open the emulator you wish to use, and configure your controller. For non RetroArch emulators you must go to %HOMEPATH% and click the EmulationStation folder, everything is in there, go into. RetroArch 1.9.0 and Kodi 18.9 are installed. The latest emulators are also installed, along with all the cores.

EmulationStation has been updated to a newer version, it is not the 5 year old PC build for Windows. This build uses a portable EmulationStation build. Direct X 9 is required by RetroArch and is also installed. I installed Windows 10 Home Edition onto a 32GB EMMC, then installed the Realtek ethernet drivers, Chrome browser, Visual C 2010, 2013, 2015 are x86 for EmulationStation and the older emulators, 2019 is 圆4 because its required by dolphin and pcsx2.
